Henry Happenings

Here's a few fun things Hank has been up to lately!  He tried rice cereal last week and absolutely hated it.  He wouldn't even close his mouth, he just let it run down his chin and into his neck rolls.  So then we attempted bananas.  He wasn't sure about it at first, but after one bite he grabbed the spoon and shoved it in into his mouth.  He's a banana fan!

He has gone to 4 Ranger games.  We went Friday, and Hank finally got a win!  He is 1-3 so far.  He usually does pretty well, but this time I forgot a piece to his bottle so his bottle just leaked everywhere.  He was not a happy camper.  We spend several innings walking around where the vendors are with all the other moms and their fussy children.  There was an old beer vendor guy that really, really liked him and kept coming by to visit with him.  He kept calling him "Hank the Tank" and "Hammerin' Hank".

He still loves his bath time.  It's his time to unwind after a stressful day.

We got to hang out with Aunt Debby and Cousin Zachary last week.  Zachary is so stinkin' cute, and SO good with Henry.

Henry can roll over!  He rolls from his back to his stomach, then panics because he hates being on his stomach.  He rolls over all night then screams, so we spend our night going to his room to turn him back over.  He is very, very active.  He even wants to be jumping when Sam and I are holding him.  We are in SOOO much trouble when this kids starts crawling!  He absolutely wears us out.  I got lost on the way to school last week (I have been driving the same route to school for 3 years now.)  Apparently I was asleep with my eyes open, and took a random exit for some reason.  Henry has started laughing quite a bit when he is in a good mood.  He is very ticklish, and has the cutest little laugh ever.  I just love him!

Mother's Day and Misc.

I had such a great Mother's Day!  Henry let me sleep in until 7:15 (although he did wake up 7 times during the night.  I'm not exaggerating.  Literally, 7.) I went to get him out of his crib and he gave me a huge smile.  Sam and Hank got me a Keurig and a super sweet card that made me get a little teary.  My handsome boys and I went to church, then out to eat at one of my favorite restaurants, Sweet Tomatoes.  I played with the boys a little bit then...wait for it....GOT A 1 1/2 HOUR NAP!!!!  I'm talking uninterrupted, deep sleep, in the middle of the day and everything!  Back in the day, about 18 weeks ago, I would have taken a 4 hour nap, but these days all I need is a 1 1/2 hour one and I'm good to go.  Sam cleaned the house and cooked dinner, and Henry and I got to play in the front yard.  Have I mentioned how much I love these boys?  I know I cry about ridiculous stuff like puppies on tv, but I don't usually cry about stuff.  I didn't cry when I got engaged, married, or when Henry was born. But I cry when I think about how much I love these two.  I mean, how did I end up with the best husband and little boy in the world? I'm a lucky girl.

Here's some other random happenings in Henry World!
Henry had a stressful day, so he needed a relaxing massage

Upset because his massage was interrupted to take a picture

Rockin' the new hat from Grandma and Possum

At cousin Will's 1st birthday party. Sweet cousins!

Precious baby at his 4 month checkup

We had a little pinkeye situation.  Isn't this the saddest picture ever?!

4 Months Old!

Henry is 4 months old!  He's actually been 4 months old for awhile now, but we have been too busy for me to post.  Also, Henry has not been photo shoot ready for awhile.  He had a cold so his nose was all crusty, then had a weekend of screaming continuously, then had a case of the pinkeye...we finally got ourselves all together and attempted pictures.  Henry does not have a future in modeling.  He is very serious, will not look at the camera or smile, and acts like he hates the world when it is picture time.  Here's what we managed to get this time:

A half-smile...

Yes, that is my 4 month old standing.

Here are Henry's stats at 4 months:

Height:  25 inches (70% ile)
Weight:  15lbs (40% ile)
Head circumference: (80% ile)  My poor big-headed baby :(

Oh, how I love this sweet boy.  Yes, he's a mess.  Yes, our counter looks like a pharmacy with his acid reflux meds, pinkeye drops, colic drops, special soy formula, PediaSure gas drops, and Children's Tylenol for those times we don't know what is hurting him.  Yes, he still gets up at night.  Yes, he's solemn and serious.  I know he's "demanding".  But I just love the heck outta him.
