Henry Plants Some Flowers

Sam, Henry, and I got out and enjoyed the beautiful weather today.  Henry helped Sam and me plant flowers in our front yard.  He's so stinkin' cute.  Please ignore the drool that is constantly on his shirt these days.  Here ya go...

I'm Not "Cheap", I'm "Frugal"

I have been called cheap on occasion.  Sam and I rarely pay full price for anything.  We will use coupons, hit up sales, buy used, shop Craigslist, and our dining room furniture may or may not be from Big Lots.
But my friends, a couple of weekends ago we hit the jackpot.  Twice a year Fort Worth has a huge second-hand kid stuff sale.  We went last fall and got a few baby things.  This year we went twice, once to the Hurst sale and once to the Ft. Worth sale.  As if that weren't cheap....oops, I mean "frugal"...enough, we went on the last day because it was free parking, free admission, and 50% off.  We just got enough to last until the fall sale.  36 items of clothing, a work bench, and wooden building blocks for less than $100= AMAZING!!! Check out what we got!

Newborn Pictures

We got our newborn pictures last week!  As I have mentioned before, Henry was not very cooperative during his photo shoot.  I spent lots of time finding sweet newborn poses I wanted to try, and all of them included a sleeping baby curled up in a sweet little ball.  He was wide awake, fussy, and wanted to be sprawled out and moving the whole time.  Our photographer's sweet son, Gavin, is in my class.  She was so incredibly patient with stressed and flustered parents, and managed to get some great pictures of our little grouchy wiggle worm.  I definitely recommend her www.reinalegrandphotography.com.  Here's a few:

2 Months Old!

Sweet Henry is 2 months old!  He is such a mess.  His arms and legs never stop moving.  He still does not sleep much during the day and wakes up to eat every 3-4 hours at night.
Henry loves to talk, loves his pacifier with the frog on it, and loves to stare at the letters on his wall.  He is happiest when there are tons of people around and lots of noise.  He is finally getting a little bit of blond (very fuzzy) hair and his eyes are very blue!  He has no interest in toys, but loves to watch people.  He is very social.  We spend lots of time outside, and he stays wide awake just taking it all in.  He smiles a lot now and gets really excited when his daddy gets home. Obviously I still think he is the most handsome little boy I have ever seen- don't ALL moms think their baby is the cutest?
I go back to work in a little over a week.  I hope his babysitter is prepared for what is about to hit her!
