Going Home

Last weekend we went to east Texas to visit my family and go to my cousin's graduation party.  I'm 30, married with kids, and have a house of my own, but I still love going home.  The Dairy Queen is a mile away,   there are big trees, and my momma makes cookies.  What more could I want? Look how pretty spring in east Texas is!
Henry picked (and ate) lots of blackberries

A rare picture of the four of us together!

Coach, Sweetie, and the boys

My adorable cousin Madeline graduated from Texas A&M.  Madeline is a beautiful, compassionate, smart little lady.  She's an aggie, but we love her anyway.

We got to meet Erin and Kevin's little beauty, Kinley Jo.
I call her K-Jo, it's her rapper alias.

Check out that chunky bod.  That chunky bod cleared a plate of Aunt Connie's cookies

Sawyer loves his Sweetie.

Baby swap

This is my cousin, Jennifer.  She's a doll and I sure do like her.

The Great Outdoors

I love being outside with my boys.  We have about a 4 week window where it is warm enough to be outside, but not too hot.  I don't know what it is about going on walks, having picnics, going to the playground, and going to the zoo that makes me want to take a ridiculous amount of pictures.  I just love every little moment, and want to document it so I don't forget this when the boys don't want to have a picnic with their momma.

Henry is a Party Animal

I was talking to my cousin-in-law Kevin last week, and he was saying that he has so much fun his new baby have fun.  I never really thought about it, but it's so true.  The most fun I have is watching the boys have a new experience they really, really enjoy.  Henry was invited to attend three birthday parties one weekend earlier this month.  I was more excited than he was I think.

The first one was for one of his school friends.  It was at a TCU baseball game.  The kids went out on the field during the national anthem, ran the bases (really just out to second base and back), and got all kinds of TCU goodies and more sweets than should be legal for 2 year olds. We were sitting away from the bleachers on blankets so the boys could run around.  I didn't see a single pitch of the game, but it was a blast.
I love this one.  Henry and Greyson have been good friends since they
were in the same class at school last year.  The love to wrestle.

He was nervous to go on the field, but did great.
He even put his little hand over his heart during the national anthem.

I thought he would be exhausted and sleep all the way home, but he was pretty hyped up from all the fun (and sugar).  He leaned back in his seat, closed his eyes, and said, "Ballgame.  One more time."

The next morning, we got to go to Cousin Will's train party.  It was so cute.  It was a morning party, so there were donuts, fruit, and we rode the miniature train.  Donuts + a train + Will = Henry's dream come true.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Will!

Sawyer really wanted that sausage roll.
