We had Reina LeGrand do Sawyer's newborn pictures, and I love them! We couldn't get the boys to cooperate at the same time (Sawyer was hungry and Henry was sleepy), so we don't have many of them together. But here are some of my favorites.

Brothers
Sawyer is 1 Month Old!
Sweet Sawyer is 1 month old! He is such a doll. Henry was always wide awake, alert, and active. I feel like I'm finally getting the sleepy, cuddly newborn experience. Sawyer loves to snuggle and is a great sleeper. He can sleep through almost anything, which is a good thing because his big brother is constantly trying to "help" by bringing him toys and trying to shove his pacifier in his mouth.
He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz when he left the hospital, and at 3 weeks old he was up to 8 lbs 10 oz! He's a great eater! He wakes up twice in the middle of the night to eat and will usually go right back to sleep. Sawyer has crazy long fingers and toes, and long skinny legs. He loves to listen to us sing and talk to him. I'm making it my mission to get him to smile. He looks like he wants to, but hasn't done it yet. I didn't think there was any way I could love another little guy as much as I love Henry. But Sawyer has made me fall in love all over again, and I can't wait to see how his little personality grows!

Halloween
I wanted to be sure Henry's Halloween wasn't overshadowed by Sawyer's appearance a few days before. Last year Henry was 10 months old, and didn't understand all the Halloween fun. A few days before Halloween, we carved a pumpkin. Henry helped me draw a face on it, clean out the junk inside, and then we topped it off with some finger paint. It actually ended up looking creepy with paint oozing out of the top of its head! And Henry got to get dirty, which is always a good thing in his world.
"YAAAAYYYYY" for pumpkin carving! |
I think this is about the time he started throwing the pumpkin guts all over our back patio. |
I'm really enjoying the fact that he can't tell us what he wants to be for Halloween yet. That means we get to choose what we want him to wear! I didn't want to go buy a bunch of stuff that he'll only wear one night. We decided to go with Ace Ventura, because he already had most of the stuff. I looked around for tutus, and those things are expensive! I just tied tulle to some elastic and it worked as a tutu for a night. How cute are Henry and his golfer cousin, Will?!
I think he pulls it off well.
